Welcome to Star and Middleton, Idaho.The town of Star was settled in the 1800's and named by travelers making their way from the original Fort Boise up to the mines in Boise basin. When the citizens of Star built the first school one of the workers found a star on the ground and nailed it on the building creating the name of their town Star, Idaho. Middleton sits just West of Star and is the oldest settlement in Canyon County which had the largest flour mill in the area.
